Observation

Estate agents can be a frustrating bunch.
Imagine if there was a better way.

Innovation

Liberation through imagination.

Buying or selling a house can be one of the most stressful things we do. But the team at Imagine believed that it needn’t be that way. Imagine examined how houses are sold the world over. They identified interesting new initiatives that put the customer at the heart of their thinking and looked at the conventional way of doing things and asked ‘what if we did it differently?’ Most importantly, Imagine wanted a brand identity that wouldn’t limit them to being just an estate agent.

We identified the Imagine team as ‘what ifers’. They dare to dream and look at the world from a different perspective. We created a strong positioning that centered on them being Imaginative Liberationists. If Imagine could use the power of their imagination to free markets of the unnecessary, the expensive or the frustrating, they can become a brand that makes people feel liberated, refreshed and pleasantly surprised.

We devised a simple mantra: Our objective is liberation; our strategy is imagination. This instantly fired up the business and gave them a universal focus. We created a brand identity that puts freedom and imagination at its core. By suggesting that the dots on the i characters are part of a dot to dot, we deliberately do the opposite of what you’d usually do, ie. go straight from one dot to another. Instead we created wonderfully meandering line drawings that flex and change to suit the communication and act in an imaginative way.
