Molly Brown’s Wine List:

Observation

The wine market is full of long and flowery copy.

Innovation

Give Molly the chance to act in a refreshingly
shorthand manner.

Molly Brown's Wine List: logo SML

We devised a brutally simple logotype for Molly Brown using simple tightly stacked type and an all-important colon, which sets up the opportunity to create the lists upon which the brand will be built: from types of wines to individual wine characteristics. The team quickly observed how much can be communicated using a list of words, eliminating all the usual adjoining words.

Molly is aimed at people who want an alternative shopping experience to the large corporate sites. It’s the brainchild of wine lovers and wine marketing experts, Rumpus Communications.

The lists give real personality and a point of difference for the brand; in a market place dominated by long flowery copy – Molly has the opportunity to act in a refreshingly shorthand manner.
